Patsy Ward - Owner and Pet Lover
I’ve always loved pets. As a little girl in Ireland, I roamed the fields with our family cats. We moved to Liverpool, England when I was eight. Coming out of church one day, a budgie flew down the brick church wall and landed in my hand. I cradled him, took him home, realized he could talk, and – along with my two little sisters - taught him many sentences. We named him Joey, and he ruled the roost for many years. Joey was an escape artist. One time he made it out the door and was caught by our neighbor’s Alsatian dog. On command, the dog dropped him. Joey didn’t talk for three days afterwards…
I moved to Minnesota and raised my own family there. We had cats, dogs, budgies, a cockatiel, pet mice, a couple of pet rats, hamsters, crickets, and whatever creature needed a home during school vacations. Our first family dog was our female black lab, Jude, overlapped by Frosty, a female Jack Russell Terrier. Our last dog was Buffy, our beloved Golden Retriever. Our four cats were Socrates, Mai, Seamus, and Tigger. Each of our pets lives on in my heart.
In January, 2013, my husband and I retired to Vero Beach, Florida. I have several happy clients, and can provide stellar references. If I'll be spending the night, I'll bring my own food, sheets, and towels. I'll send daily email or text updates, and would be happy to do Facetime or Skype visits if you'd like to. I miss all my pets when their owners return and always look forward to seeing them again "next time."
